A note to all Christmas Shoppers...

Hello bloggers....for my next installment I shall be discussing loaylty cards...do they work or are they just an attempt to steal out money.

We have all been out christmas shopping over the past few weeks and buying present for other people and wishing that you could be spending all the money on yourself instead and when you are paying for the goods at the till the sales assistant offers you a 20% discount if you open account with them today...the dilemma, get money off so you can buy items for yourself and possibly get yourself in debt or just settle for getting gifts for other people and be completely selfless! Its a tough decision...
Would the risk of not being able to pay off your outstanding credit be worth a few new items in your wardrobe, these schemes do not seem to create loyalty, but instead a rise in sales for the retailers, It only benefits them, not you....xx

Bad Retailing....

I have to say that I am not too impressed with high street retailers at this moment in time. As all you shoppers will have already realised, all of the shops are full of either sequins, lace or shoulder pads, not that I have anything against these trends. It only makes the shopping experience more stressful when trying to find that unique little number for a night out and not match another ten of twenty people within a ten metre radius.
I was always made to believe that retailers were trying to compete against each other to provide us with what we want to purchase, however the only competition is which retailer can have as many of the same items as the next. Not too good for shopaholics like me, well desired shopaholics as the lack of income due to my student occupation.
Does anyone, anywhere really want three of four versions of the same outfit? I don't think so....
All the stores have the same black sued boots with the gold studs, all have a range of sequin blazers, sequin leggings, jeggins, lace or sequin crop tops, sequin dresses, lace and jersey dresses, jersey blazers, t-shirts with drawn on jewellery, fur coats, floral printed tops/dresses and the list goes on. The point I am trying to make is that one year ago you could clearly recognize where a person bought their clothes as each retailer had a specific look, however today if you were to look through a range of shops you would not remember what items came from which store.
It sorts of puts you off going out shopping....even right before Christmas.
Poor show British retailers.
But until next time....

It's been a while....

Hello....sorry about the delay! have had so much going on for the past few weeks, its been hectic! All the family surprises have been difficult to keep a hold on.

This weeks blog shall be on Fashion Party's! What did you say, a party for SHOPPING! Oh how I love the British retailers.

This has been going on for years for high end celebrities in stores such as Harrods where the doors are closed to all other 'common' customers so celebrities can shop without any bother, something a poor student like me could only dream of.

However, Oasis have just introduced their own 'Private Shopping Experience' which allows you and ten of your friends to go shopping after hours, the door will be locked and it will be your own private party! And wait, it gets even better....your party also gets a 15% discount on all purchases, along with a complementary outfit for the host! Now this is my idea of heaven!

Not only is the retailer giving you everything you ever dreamed and could also get a £150 gift voucher if over £530 is spend by your party (if you have ten people then that's only £53 each, they are making this way too easy!) and to top it all off they give you free Cava and Cupcakes!

Oasis, you are my hero! This shows that retailers are finally understanding what lengths us shoppers go to (0% food, 100% clothes!) to provide their profits and feed our shopping addiction and are rewarding us for our commitment!

I Love You Oasis!

Untill next time

Introduction to me....

Hello blogger's....

After finally deciding on a name for the blog....(All the other's were taken!)....I can finally start putting forward my thoughts on the Fashion World today, express my love for the Chanel 2.55, (aah perfection....) , Karl Lagerfeld and of course Marc Jacobs.

This blog will be a combination of my opinions of high street styles and stores as well as comments from magazine articles and celebrity trendsetters! (Olivia Palermo, you are my style icon!)

At the moment I am on the Elle UK website, they are advertising 6 of the best, wait for this you will love it.... Winter Sunglasses, finally people are starting to think like me. I love wearing my sunnies and they are one of my highlights of summer, and now I do not have to give them up because society say it is the wrong season, they are sunglasses, not summer-glasses!

Until my next installment
je vous aime!
